
CRAZY MIXED-UP CHOCOLATE CAKE
Makes brownie-type cake right in pan. Good with ice cream.
1-1/2 cups sifted flour
5 Tblsp. cooking oil
3 Tblsp. cocoa
1 Tblsp. vinegar
1 teas. baking soda
1 teas. vanilla
1/2 teas. salt
1 cup water
Put sifted flour, cocoa, soda, sugar and salt in sifter. Sift directly into
greased square cake pan, about 9- by 9- by 2 inches.
Make three holes or grooves in the dry mixture. Pour the oil in one, the vinegar
in the second and the vanilla in the third. Then pour the cold water over it
all. Beat with a spoon until it becomes smooth and no flour is visible. Bake at
350 degrees for half an hour.
